December Polymer Clay Challenge: BRRR! It's Cold out There!
Polymer Clay Central has announced the December 2007 Challenge theme: BRRR! It's Cold out There!. And let me tell you, considering the big ice storm my part of the country just saw, this challenge seems totally appropriate! So cozy up next to your toaster oven & let's do some crafting...
Ideas
Here's a few things you might think about making:- Snowflakes, snowmen, snow globes
- Ice-skaters, icicles
- Hats, mittens, kids bundled in layers of clothes
- Old Man Winter, penguins, Jack Frost
Tips & Tutorials
- Check out Garie Sim's tutorial for Creating a Snowman Snow Globe.

Comments
That faux knit is very clever - I thought it was actually braided until I read the tutorial. I imagine you could get an interesting effect by using multiple-colored strands.

One of my fellow guild members did try that, & while I didn't get to see the finished product, it looked like it was going to turn out great. You can see Jane working on her red & green knit scarf if you look closely at this photo.
